The RICS HomeBuyer Report is pitched between the RICS Condition Report (Level 1 survey report) and the detailed Level 3 RICS Building Survey. A HomeBuyer report includes:

  • An overview of the general condition of the property including recommendations for repair where necessary
  • Clear and concise condition ratings for different parts of the building including outbuildings and services, using an easy-to-understand traffic light system
  • Assessment of damp proofing, drainage or insulation
  • Condition of timbers and checking for woodworm and rot where visible
  • Background information regarding the property including specific risks regarding the location and environment
  • Details of any urgent problems that should receive specialist attention before contracts are signed
  • Reinstatement and rebuilding costs for insurance purposes
  • Current market valuation of the property (optional)

The survey report is based on a non-intrusive property inspection. This means that our surveyors wonít be able to look behind furniture, nor lift up floor coverings, drill holes or carry out any other invasive investigations.
